Creating Smaller Wav Songs For Websites
Ok, sometimes you can download
a song wav, but its too large for you to use on your website
due to size restrictions, etc. To modify the wav song into a
smaller size follow the directions below:
On your
computer, Do the
following:
Click
Start ....
All Programs.....
Accessories.....
Entertainment and then
Sound Recorder.
(This will
bring up your sound recorder to your desktop.)
On the sound recorder: Click
File...then
Open. Locate the *.wav
song on your computer that you want to create a smaller *.wav song
from. Click on the song.
On the sound recorder:
Click File.....then
Properties. Click on the
Convert Now button.
In the format area : Select : MPEG Layer-3.
In the attributes area
Scroll down and Select: 11,025 kHz, 18 Bit, Stereo
Click Ok. IMPORTANT:When
the conversion is done.......click File. Save As. Save it
as the same file you
opened, in the same location. If you don't, you will
have a HUGE *.wav file instead of a smaller one.
